I’ve just downloaded Azealia Banks’ debut EP ‘1991’
I have been a big fan ever since I saw the video for ‘212’ on YouTube last October and got really excited. Obviously it’s a great song, and the next song she put up, ‘Liquorice’ is really good too.
However, the last few songs she’s put up have been pretty substandard and…well….boring, like Bambi, and most recently Jumanji. Other tracks she recorded before the 212-hype are also really good, but she’s really gone downhill lately!
This is, sadly, demonstrated on this EP. ‘212’ and ‘Liquorice’ are great but 1991 and Van Vogue are nothing more than album tracks to pass the time. ALSO, severely annoying… re-editing ‘Liquorice’ was such a bad idea. It now fades out, sooooo lame!
PLEASE AZEALIA, MAKE MORE EXCITING MUSIC.
